Jeudi 23 Février 2012 entre 9 heures 30 et 12 heures, les étudiants infirmiers de l’IFSI (Institut de Formation en Soins Infirmiers) de Laxou seront accueillis à la Clinique Louis Pasteur d’Essey-lès-Nancy pour une visite guidée de l’exposition « Les Pratiques Médicales des 18, 19 et 20e siècles » sous la houlette de Francine Roze, Directrice du Musée Lorrain.

70 élèves infirmiers en dernière année de formation seront ainsi invités à renouer avec l’Histoire de leurs aïeuls et à appréhender leur profession avec un regard « neuf »  au fil des dizaines d’instruments médicaux d’époque présentés en vitrines. Crayon à migraine, trépan, tire-lait, clystère, prothèse à chaussure ou encore mouche-bébé… oubliés ou étonnamment familiers, les instruments de médecine d’antan ne devraient pas manquer d’interpeller la jeune génération. Les étudiants pourront aussi découvrir, à travers une sélection de planches de l’imagerie d’Epinal, comment la médecine était perçue et représentée il n’y a pas si longtemps encore. L’occasion de prendre conscience de l’héritage de leur profession, et des incroyables progrès réalisés au cours de ces derniers siècles.

Clinique Louis Pasteur, near Nancy, chaired by Philippe TOURRAND and managed by Christophe BAILLET is present in the national honors of Octobre 2011 of the best medical facilities of France published by "Le Nouvel Observateur". 25th on more than 1 500 medical facilities, Clinique Louis Pasteur is the only medical facility of Lorraine to be represented in this ranking of excellence and the best facility of North Est France.

A new advanced MRI was installed in the digitized imaging service. The doctors are thus equipped with a modern tool.

New technologies are rapidly evolving, this new MRI replaces one that had been purchased only 5 years ago. This new performing state of the art machine was put into place in July, and allows more detailed examinations, and therefore a more accurate diagnosis for the patient.

Clinique Louis Pasteur undertook a quality approach of coverage care for the patients. As such, it is regularly present in the various national rankings. The health prize list of the magazine "Le Point" published its results on June 16th of this year.

Permanent exhibition : Since 2009, we have been engaged on a process of cultural patronage with the Musée Lorrain, through an exhibition of medical devices.
This year, a third case came to complete the exhibition which has for theme the medical devices from the 19th and the 20th century.

Among the many original instruments presented, visitors can learn about the typical kit of midwife in rural areas, the famous forceps or her strange "baby nose blower". A surprising exhibition consisting of objects that become more common as the first individual dressing/bandaid or more archaic-looking objects as the fascinating "prosthesis shoe".

Temporary Exhibitions : Temporary exhibitions of paintings or photos, take place in the entire facility, allowing to discover the work of different artists walking along the hall ways.
